Mar 07, Kathmandu - Swarnim Wagle of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected with a significant margin, although the official announcement is yet to be made.
Wagle secured a total of 38,040 votes, winning by a margin of 21,809 votes in his second parliamentary bid.
His closest competitor, Govinda Bhattarai of the Nepali Congress, received 16,231 votes, while Baghwati Nemwang of the CPN-UML garnered 5,830 votes.
In the 2018 by-election, Wagla was elected with a margin of 14,797 votes, having received 34,919 votes. During that election, 63,757 votes were invalidated, with Bhattarai securing 20,122 votes and Surendra Khandel of CPN-UML receiving 8,488 votes.
