Ballot Boxes Yet to be Collected in Mugu

Mar 07, Kathmandu - While the counting of votes is ongoing in most constituencies, the ballot boxes are yet to be collected in Mugu.

According to Mugu Chief Election Officer Min Bahadur Kunwar, the ballot boxes of two centers are being taken to the district headquarters. He said, "The ballot boxes of Mugu Village Center and Dolfu Center of Mugum Karmarong Rural Municipality in Mugu are being brought by road. It is a distance of 80 kilometers, so we have to carry the ballot boxes on foot. It is uphill and downhill."

After the ballot boxes are collected, preparations are underway to hold an all-party meeting and start the counting. He informed that it is expected to start after 2 pm. Mugu has only one constituency. Purna Bahadur Rokaya from UML, Khadga Shahi from Congress, Chandra Bahadur Shahi from Nepali Communist Party, Bhuwan Tamata from Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Bal Bahadur Malla from RPP are candidates. Aitan Kumar Malla from Pralopa and Rangbir Pariyar from CPN-Maoist are candidates.
