UML Chair Oli defeated, Balen Wins by a Margin of 49,614 Votes

Mar 07, Kathmandu - Senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Balendra Shah (Balen) has won in Jhapa-5, which has become the election epicenter of the district. He defeated his nearest rival, UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, by a margin of 49,614 votes. With his victory, Balen has demolished the red fort of Jhapa 5.

Balen has secured 68,384 votes while Oli has secured 18,734 votes. Similarly, Sameer Tamang of the Shram Sanskriti Party has secured 9,233 votes. Mandhara Chimaria of the Nepali Congress has secured 1,821 votes, Ranjit Tamang of the NCP has secured 1,461 votes, and Laxmi Sangraula of the RPP has secured 1,536 votes.
