Mar 08, Kathmandu - Jagdish Kharel of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been declared the winner in Lalitpur-2 constituency. According to the Election Commission, Kharel secured 39,491 votes to claim victory.
His closest rival, Prameekrashna Maharjan of the Nepali Congress, received 7,420 votes.
Rajarama Tandukar of the Ujyalo Nepal Party secured 5,547 votes, finishing third, while Prem Bahadur Maharjan of CPN (UML) garnered 4,536 votes.
A total of 89,082 voters were registered in Lalitpur-2. Among them, 31,035 women and 30,940 men cast their ballots, totaling 61,975 votes.
In this constituency, a total of 23 candidates contested the election, representing various political parties and independent groups.
