Israel Launches Massive Airstrikes on Iranian Military Targets

Mar 13, Kathmandu - The Israeli Air Force (IAF) has conducted extensive airstrikes on over 200 military and strategic targets across western and central Iran within the past 24 hours. The operation, carried out under military intelligence guidance, targeted ballistic missile systems, air defense installations, and critical production sites linked to Iran’s military infrastructure. This surge in military activity comes amidst ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran, raising concerns over regional security.

Since launching the 'Roar of the Lion' campaign, Israel has carried out numerous offensive flights aimed at reducing potential missile attacks from Iran. Earlier, Israel claimed to have destroyed a facility named 'Taliban,' allegedly used by Iran to develop nuclear weapons, part of a secret 'AMAD project' dating back to the 2000s.

In addition to Iran, Israel targeted Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon, reportedly killing Abu Dahr Mohammedi, an IRGC missile operations commander based in Beirut. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) also announced the elimination of Ali Muslim Tabbaz, a senior commander within Iran’s Imam Hussein Division, which is believed to strengthen Iran-backed militant networks in the region.

Furthermore, Hezbollah's southern Lebanon commander, Abu Ali Riyan, was also reportedly killed, with Israel claiming these strikes have destroyed over 100 militants and more than 60 command and control centers associated with Hezbollah’s Radwan Force.

In the political arena, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning to Iran’s new Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, suggesting that Israel may target Khamenei’s potential successor. Netanyahu dismissed claims that Israel would prioritize life insurance policies for terrorist leaders, labeling Khamenei as a puppet of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, and hinted that Israel might continue its operations against what it perceives as terrorist threats across the Middle East.

The recent developments signal a shifting strategic balance in the region, with Israel indicating it will persist in its efforts against groups it considers terrorist organizations, potentially leading to further regional instability.
