Six Terrorists Killed in Counter-terrorism Operation in Northwest Pakistan

Mar 14, Kathmandu - Six terrorists have been killed in an intelligence-based counter-terrorism operation in Pakistan's northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to police, the operation was carried out in Lakki Marwat district. The counter-terrorism department said that the operation was launched after receiving credible information about the presence of terrorists there.

During the raid, the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, leading to a 40-minute gunfight. After the encounter, six terrorists were found dead, while some others managed to escape.

Security forces said that a large quantity of weapons and explosives, including a Kalashnikov rifle, hand grenades and an improvised explosive device, were recovered from the spot.
