National League: APF and Chitlang share points

Mar 15, Kathmandu - APF Club's hopes of narrowing the points gap at the top of the ANFA National League took a hit after a goalless draw on Sunday. Playing at the ANFA Complex in Sano Thado Bato, the departmental team settled for a stalemate against Chitlang FC.

The draw marked APF's fourth in the league, leaving them with 25 points from 11 matches, and maintaining their second-place position based on goal difference. Machhindra Club, who have played one game fewer, leads the table. With only five points separating APF from the top spot, the race remains open.

Both teams created good opportunities during the match but failed to find the net, resulting in a share of points. The draw deprived APF of a chance to extend their lead over rivals.

Chitlang FC, who qualified for the league through the ANFA President's League, recorded their fifth draw of the season. Since their only victory against the bottom-placed New Janjagriti, Chitlang has struggled to find consistency, remaining without a win in 11 matches. With 8 points from 12 games, they sit in 13th place in the standings.
