Mar 19, Kathmandu - Nepali Congress Chairman Gagan Kumar Thapa has resigned from his post.

Taking moral responsibility for the party's defeat in the House of Representatives elections held on Falgun 21, Congress Chairman Thapa has resigned from his post.

Sources have said that Chaiman Thapa submitted his resignation to Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma. However, Thapa's resignation letter has not been made public.

The Congress has called a central working committee meeting on Chaitra 6. Thapa resigned before the meeting.
