Mar 20, Kathmandu - The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that the country is currently under the influence of a western low-pressure system and local winds.

The hilly and mountainous parts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces as well as Gandaki and Lumbini provinces are generally cloudy, while the mountainous areas of other provinces are also cloudy. The hilly areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces are partially cloudy, and the weather is mainly clear in the remaining parts.

According to the division, it will be cloudy in most parts of the country in the afternoon. There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder, lightning and hail in many places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, some places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Lumbini and Koshi provinces, and some places in other provinces. There is a possibility of heavy rain or snowfall in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Similarly, it will be cloudy in most parts of the country tonight. There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall along with thunder, lightning and hail in many places of Karnali, Sudurpaschim and Gandaki provinces and some places of other provinces.

The division has also requested the general public, farmers involved in agriculture, and all those traveling to those areas and involved in operating means of transport to carry out their regular activities with caution.
