Investigation has begun into corruption case at Nepal Airlines Corporation - Sudan Gurung

Mar 21, Kathmandu - Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Sudan Gurung has said that a formal investigation has been launched into the irregularities and corruption within the Nepal Airlines Corporation.

Gurung, while sharing a photo of himself submitting a memorandum on social media on Saturday, informed that the ministry has formed a high-level investigation committee and initiated the investigation process. He said that the government has taken immediate steps after initiatives were taken with evidence against irregularities from aircraft purchase to maintenance.

According to him, files that have been lying dormant for years will now be opened and the investigation committee will collect evidence and submit a report within 30 days. Based on the report, he said that strict legal action will be taken against those involved in corruption.

Gurung said that vigilance will continue against the trend of weakening the national flag-carrying organization and the fight for good governance will be strengthened further.
