Mar 24, Kathmandu - Nepali Congress Chairman Gagan Kumar Thapa emphasized that the entire party must now concentrate on the upcoming general convention. Addressing the Central Working Committee meeting on Tuesday, Thapa confidently stated that he has driven the vehicle of the party’s convention forward and that it will not stop now.
Thapa clarified that there is no need to dwell on who participated in the recent special convention or who did not. “The special convention was held under specific circumstances, and it resulted in new leadership. We participated in elections. The question of who participated before or after the special convention is now settled,” he said.
He urged party members not to harbor biases or prejudices regarding participation in the convention. “I have driven the vehicle as the party president. Now, this vehicle will not be stopped. I have also urged Vice Chair and other leaders to ensure everyone’s participation and to move forward together,” Thapa added.
The party leader reiterated his commitment to inclusive leadership and unity, emphasizing that the focus should now be on strengthening the party through collective efforts.
