Chairman Rai Files Complaint with Cyber ​​Bureau

Mar 30, Kathmandu - Harka Sampang, the chairman of the Labour Culture Party, has lodged a police complaint with the Nepal Cyber Bureau after receiving death threats and threats to set his house on fire via social media platforms.

According to Sampang, the threats were issued through a TikTok ID named 'Sunita Khadka,' targeting him and his family with warnings of violence and arson. Additionally, he reported being subjected to abusive language and slurs on social networks like Facebook and TikTok, which he says are spreading confusion and misinformation in society.

"I have been threatened with death and arson, and abusive language has been used against me and my family on social media. I demand strict legal action against those responsible," Sampang stated in his complaint.

The Cyber Bureau has announced that it has begun an investigation into the matter based on the complaint.
