Mar 31, Kathmandu - The Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation has completely banned the use of plastic materials from today (Wednesday).

The ministry has implemented this decision with the aim of putting into practice its commitment to environmental protection, hygiene promotion and sustainable development.

The ministry has stated that this step has been taken in line with the policy of minimizing the negative impact of excessive use of plastic products on the environment and encouraging the use of alternative and environmental friendly materials.

It is believed that this decision will send a positive message to all government agencies and stakeholders. Everyone's cooperation is expected for its effective implementation in the coming days.
