Apr 02, Kathmandu - Members of the National Assembly expressed their support for the newly formed government while emphasizing the need for accountability and further progress during a recent session.
Nepali Congress MP Krishna Prasad Sitaula congratulated the government on its formation and assured full support if it works in the interest of the people. “The government will be evaluated based on its performance,” he stated.
Madan Kumari Shah of the CPN (UML) criticized the government’s 100-day agenda, asserting that the federal democratic republic, achieved through sacrifices, remains incomplete.
Meanwhile, CPN (UML) MP Prem Prasad Dangal congratulated the government but urged focus on improving living standards, strengthening nationalism, and unity. He also raised concerns over recent arrests based on the Karki Commission report.
Puja Chaudhary of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal expressed support for the government’s efforts toward good governance and welcomed measures to curb corruption.
Mahantha Thakur of the Democratic Socialist Party Nepal highlighted that issues like unemployment persist despite the struggle to establish the republic.
Additionally, Rastriya Janamorcha MP Tul Prasad Bishwakarma criticized the Karki Commission’s investigation as one-sided and called for an impartial inquiry.
