Prime Minister's promise: I will resolve all problems as much as possible

Apr 03, Kathmandu - Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) has assured to resolve the problems as soon as possible after holding discussions with the MPs of Gandaki Province.

On Friday, at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar, he discussed the problems and solutions of their region with the MPs of Gandaki Province.

During that, Shah discussed with 15 MPs of the province for 3 hours, said Rajendra Gautam, an elected MP from Bardaghat Susta East-1, Nawalparasi.

“We are 18 elected MPs from Gandaki. 3 ministers could not attend the meeting due to their busy schedules. 15 of us discussed with the Prime Minister for 3 hours,” Gautam said.

According to him, during the discussion, Shah requested the MPs to suggest solutions along with the problems.

The Prime Minister said that he was listening to all the MPs rather than addressing them himself.

“The Prime Minister kept listening while the MPs were telling about the problems in their region. His secretariat was taking notes of all those problems,” he said.

During that time, he raised the issue of changing the name of the district from Nawalparasi to Bardaghat Susta Purba to Nawalpur, as per the people's wishes.

"I raised the issue of development plans and stalled projects while changing the name of the district to Nawalpur. Other MPs also spoke similarly about the people's complaints and their constituencies," he said.

Similarly, MP Jhabilal Dumre, elected from Syangja-2, spoke about the problems and solutions, including riverine excavation and conservation, physical infrastructure, health, agriculture, and other issues.
