Massive Police Crackdown in Kathmandu: Over 195 Suspects Arrested in Nightlong Search Operation

Apr 04, Kathmandu - Kathmandu Police and the Metropolitan Crime Investigation Office launched a comprehensive search operation, resulting in the detention of over 195 individuals involved in hooliganism, fraud, middlemen, and extortion.

The operation, carried out overnight across various locations in Kathmandu, targeted those engaged in criminal activities such as hooliganism, deception, and extortion. According to Ramesh Thapa, SSP of the Kathmandu District Police Office, the arrests were made from multiple areas, including Tribhuvan International Airport, Thamel, and Budhanilkantha.

The police have stated that investigations are ongoing into these suspects, and the crackdown will continue to curb criminal activities in the capital.
