Apr 05, Kathmandu - Dolprasad (DP) Aryal has been elected unopposed as the Speaker of Nepal's House of Representatives. He is scheduled to take the oath of office and secrecy today.

President Ram Chandra Poudel will administer the oath at Shital Niwas at 2:30 PM. Following the ceremony, Aryal will assume his responsibilities in the office.

Aryal was the sole candidate in Friday’s nomination process. The House of Representatives officially announced his unopposed election during Sunday’s session.

With the oath-taking, Aryal will now oversee the proceedings of the House of Representatives.
