Apr 06, Kathmandu - Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) is holding discussions with members of the House of Representatives immediately after assuming power.
Balen is also being praised for trying to listen to the problems seen in the constituencies of elected representatives and find solutions.
The Prime Minister is holding group discussions with members of parliament on a provincial basis.
After holding discussions with members of parliament from Sudurpaschim, Koshi, Madhesh, and Gandaki provinces, Prime Minister Shah held discussions with members of parliament from Lumbini province on Monday.
Although most of the members of parliament elected from Lumbini province were present in the discussions with Prime Minister Balen, former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda did not participate.
Lumbini province includes Banke, Bardiya, Dang, Pyuthan, Rolpa, Gulmi, Arghakhanchi, Kapilvastu, Rupandehi, Palpa, Rukum East, and Nawalparasi districts.
Prachanda was elected from Rukum East on behalf of the Nepal Communist Party.
Prachanda, who is also the coordinator of the NCP, is also a former Prime Minister. However, he did not participate in the discussion with the MPs called by the Prime Minister.
‘Today, the Prime Minister held a discussion with the MPs of Lumbini Province,’ the source said, ‘All the honorable members were present in the meeting, but Prachanda, who won from Rukumpur, did not come. Perhaps there are no problems in his area!’
After the meeting that started at 11 am did not end by 12:50 pm, Prime Minister Balen had requested the MPs who had already expressed their views to go to the Parliament meeting. The Prime Minister sat only with the MPs who had yet to speak.
‘The House of Representatives meeting was being held at 1 pm today, so the Prime Minister requested the MPs who had already spoken in the meeting to go to the meeting,’ the source said, ‘The MPs who had already spoken went to the Parliament meeting and the work of listening to the MPs who had yet to speak was done.’
The Prime Minister had listened to the problems of the region and province in the meeting. An MP who attended the meeting informed that the Prime Minister had inquired about what the immediate problems were and what the solutions were.
