Six Ambassadors Appointed on Political 'Quota' Recalled

Apr 07, Kathmandu - The Government of Nepal has recalled six diplomats appointed under political quota from various countries, confirmed Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lok Bahadur Paudel Khatri.

The recalled diplomats are stationed in India, Australia, Denmark, South Korea, South Africa, and Sri Lanka. They include Nepali ambassadors such as Chitra Lekha Yadav in Australia, Dr. Shankar Sharma in India, Sumnima Tulaadhar in Denmark, Shiva Maya Tumbahangphe in South Korea, Kapilman Shrestha in South Africa, and Purna Bahadur Nepali in Sri Lanka.

The decision was made during a cabinet meeting held last Sunday Chaitra 22. Following this, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent notices on Monday Chaitra 23, instructing these diplomats to return within a month.
