Oli-Lekhak should be able to admit that mistakes were made in the Gen-Z movement - Mahabir Pun

Apr 07, Kathmandu - At the Federal Parliament premises, Independent Member of Parliament Mahabir Pun emphasized that former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli must acknowledge any mistakes made during the Gen-Z movement.

Responding to journalists' inquiries on Tuesday, Pun stated that although then-Prime Minister Oli and Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak did not directly issue orders to shoot, as the top officials, they must accept responsibility for any errors committed.

Pun argued, "They didn't give the order to fire, but they were the leaders. Is it acceptable to be silent just because they didn't give the command? When mistakes are made under one's leadership, it is essential to admit fault and apologize. Who is diminished by apology? No one. If the responsible person refuses to accept mistakes, how can they be a true leader? That is my personal belief."

Additionally, Pun remarked that the government has no alternative but to address the demands raised by MPs in Parliament and move forward accordingly.
