Apr 09, Kathmandu - Rupandehi Police have arrested six Nepali citizens from the CMG Club Casino in Manigram, Tilottama Municipality-5. The arrested persons are Mukesh Kumar Shrestha, 31, of Barhathawa Municipality-8, Sarlahi, Ajay KC, 41, of Godavari Municipality-15, Lalitpur, Gobinda Sharma, 35, of Butwal Sub-metropolitan Municipality-12, Chand Prasad Shrestha, 36, of Ward No. 11 of the same municipality, Basudev Gautam, 35, of Ward No. 9 of the same municipality, and Krishna Gautam, 35, of Ward No. 9 of the same municipality.
During a check at various casinos in Rupandehi, six Nepalis were arrested from the said casino on Wednesday night, said Krishna Kumar Chand, Information Officer and DSP of the District Police Office, Rupandehi.
According to him, among those arrested, Mukesh and Ajay were involved in gambling, while four others were involved in gambling. The District Police Office, Rupandehi, has stated that 217,390 Nepalese rupees, 3,500 Indian rupees, 125,000 casino coins, 6 mobile phones, and 7 decks of cards have been recovered from the arrested persons and that further investigation into the incident is underway.
