Gold and Silver Prices Drop in Local Markets Amid International Market Fluctuations

Apr 09, Kathmandu - The prices of gold and silver have decreased in the local markets today. Gold per tola has fallen by NPR 4,300, while silver per tola has dropped by NPR 150.

According to the Federation Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers, the current rate for 24-karat gold is NPR 294,700 per tola, and the price for an equal quantity of white metal (silver) stands at NPR 4,875.

Yesterday, on Wednesday, the price of 24-karat gold was NPR 299,000 per tola, with silver valued at NPR 5,025 per tola. The day before, on Tuesday, gold was priced at NPR 291,800 per tola, and silver at NPR 4,820 per tola.

International media reports indicate that today, the global market prices for gold are approximately $4713 per ounce, with silver trading at around $73 per ounce.
