Apr 09, Kathmandu - The sessions of both houses of Nepal's Federal Parliament will officially conclude tonight, following a recommendation from the Council of Ministers. President Ram Chandra Poudel approved the end of the current parliamentary sessions, which will take effect from 12:00 AM tonight.
According to the President's Office, "In accordance with Article 93, Sub-Article (2) of the Constitution of Nepal, President Poudel has issued a notice based on the Cabinet’s recommendation dated 2082/12/24 to end the current sessions of both houses of the Federal Parliament, effective from 12:00 AM on Chaitra 27, 2082 (Nepali calendar)."
Additionally, President Poudel is scheduled to address a joint session of the Federal Parliament tomorrow. This will be the first session of the post-election federal parliament, and the President's address marks an important moment for the new legislative term.
