Apr 10, Kathmandu - The Nepal-India University Professors' Conference has officially commenced in Kathmandu, marking a significant step in fostering academic collaboration between the two nations. The three-day event was inaugurated on Friday under the leadership of renowned Nepali literary critic Prof. Dr. Vasudev Tripathi.
According to Narendra Prasai, Secretary of the New Academy organizing the event, the conference aims to serve as a vital platform for analyzing and interpreting Nepali literature. "We are gathered at a historic moment to explore the roots and evolution of Nepali literature, reflecting on its journey from the past to the present," he stated.
Prof. Tripathi, a distinguished scholar who completed his Ph.D. in Nepali language and literature from Tribhuwan University in 2031 BS, is the conference's key highlight. The event also features eminent professors such as Shivgopal Risal and Keshav Subedi, both associated with Tribhuwan University, alongside numerous doctoral scholars.
During the conference, scholars from 13 universities across India and six from Nepal will engage in in-depth discussions on teaching and research in Nepali language and literature within higher education. The event aims to facilitate meaningful dialogue and collaboration among 25 doctoral experts specializing in Nepali literature.
