Apr 12, Kathmandu - Prime Minister Balen Shah is set to undertake a visit to India after receiving an official invitation from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Nepalese government has not yet made an official announcement regarding the visit. However, Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal confirmed that Prime Minister
Balen has accepted the invitation extended by Prime Minister Modi.
During the Ninth Indian Ocean Conference in Mauritius, Foreign Minister Khanal stated in an interview with WION (World Is One News) that Indian Prime Minister Modi sent a congratulatory message along with the invitation for the visit, which Nepal has agreed to. The exact dates for the visit are yet to be finalized.
Foreign Minister Khanal also mentioned that he met with Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar in Mauritius last Friday, where discussions covered various bilateral issues.
