Majority of Israelis Oppose Ceasefire with Iran, Survey Finds

Apr 13, Kathmandu - A recent survey conducted by Hebrew University of Jerusalem reveals that a significant majority of Israelis oppose the current ceasefire with Iran. The survey indicates that approximately 66% of Israeli citizens are against the ceasefire agreement.

The survey also shows a divided public opinion on whether to uphold the ceasefire or continue military actions against Iran. About 39% of respondents believe that Israel should maintain its attack on Iran, while 41% advocate for respecting the ceasefire and pursuing peaceful negotiations.

Since the US and Israel launched attacks on Iran on February 28, a 40-day conflict ensued, leading to a temporary 15-day ceasefire declared on April 7. Despite talks between American and Iranian officials in Pakistan aimed at establishing a lasting peace, no concrete agreement has been reached yet.
