Apr 14, Kathmandu - A parliamentary delegation led by President Narayan Prasad Dahal has departed for Istanbul to participate in the 152nd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). The assembly is scheduled to take place from Baisakh 2 to 6 in Istanbul, Turkey.
During the assembly, President Dahal is expected to deliver a speech on the theme: "Ensuring Peace and Justice for Future Generations," according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat. The delegation will also hold bilateral meetings with parliamentary leaders from various countries.
In addition, President Dahal will participate in the 5th Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Parliamentary Network, where he will deliver a keynote address.
Parliamentary Secretary Ekrama Giri informed that members of the Nepali delegation will participate in the meetings of the standing committees of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. The delegation is scheduled to return to Nepal on Baisakh 8.
