46 Nepalese Rescued from Cambodia

Apr 16, Kathmandu - The Nepali Embassy in Bangkok has rescued 46 Nepalese from Cambodia. All those rescued have returned home.

They were rescued and repatriated with the help of the Cambodian government after receiving information that they were being forced into illegal work by various means.

According to the embassy, ​​101 Nepalese arrived in Cambodia in 2021, 1,977 in 2022, 2,940 in 2023, 6,404 in 2024, and 9,676 in 2025, hoping to find lucrative employment.

The embassy has also requested that people not travel to Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand without obtaining a work permit.
