Apr 16, Kathmandu - Kathmandu Metropolitan City is set to collaborate with Nepal Police to enhance road safety and urban security within the city.
Acting Mayor Sunita Dangol and Inspector General of Police Daan Bahadur Karki held a meeting on Thursday to discuss strengthening cooperation on issues such as road safety, urban security, traffic management, and urban planning.
During the meeting, Acting Mayor Dangol emphasized the need for joint efforts in traffic regulation, protection and utilization of public land encroachments, management of illegal settlements, urban administration, and campaigns to make roads free of human encroachment.
Inspector General Karki assured his support in providing necessary security assistance to the metropolis. “Coordination will be maintained through the Metropolitan Police Office, and we have appointed focal persons for this purpose,” he stated.
