NC Gives Full Mandate to Constitution Amendment Suggestion Committee, Five-point Mandate

Apr 19, Kathmandu - Nepali Congress has finalized the expert committee tasked with studying and providing recommendations on constitutional amendments. The committee is headed by Vice Chair Pushpa Bhusal.

According to acting General Secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal of the party, senior lawyers such as Radheshyam Adhikari, Harihar Dahal, Prem Bahadur Khadka, Upendra Kesari Neupane, Sher Bahadur K.C., Yadunath Kanal, Gopal Krishna Ghimire, Yogendra Bahadur Adhikari, Dinesh Tripathi, Sitaram K.C., and Lalit Kumar Basnet are members of the committee.

Additional members include lawyers Ram Bahadur Thabe, Sharmila Shrestha, and Jhala Maya BK. Raju Katwal has been appointed as the committee's secretary.

The committee has been given a five-point mandate to research and analyze issues related to various communities, groups, and regions, including identity concerns, movements, government agreements, and demands or opinions regarding constitutional amendments.
