Apr 21, Kathmandu - In a devastating incident in Jajarkot, a gas cylinder explosion resulted in the death of Maya Jaisi during treatment. 

Maya Jaisi, 42, from Thalu Purasad Jaisi in Nalgad Municipality-2, succumbed to her injuries at a Hospital in Kathmandu on Monday night. 

Following the explosion, three injured individuals were initially treated at Dalli Municipality Hospital in Nalagad and later evacuated via Nepal Army helicopter for specialized care.

The accident occurred on the morning of Chaitra 29, when a gas cylinder suddenly leaked and caught fire, causing injuries to Maya Jaisi, her sister-in-law Rupa Jaisi (37), and her son Ganesha Gautam (22).

Due to financial hardships, the family struggled to cover the treatment costs, but despite medical efforts, Maya Jaisi passed away.
