Apr 21, Kathmandu - Nepal Music and Drama Foundation announced plans to host the ‘Progressive Music Festival 2083’ in Thawang Rural Municipality, Rolpa, on Baisakh 19 and 20.
The foundation revealed during a press conference in Kathmandu that the event will be organized in collaboration with Rolpa Kala Sahitya Pratisthan (Rolpa Arts and Literature Association).

She described the festival as a culturally significant national event that spans two days. The first day will feature inaugural ceremonies and performances by progressive artists, while the second day will include dialogues, interactive sessions, workshops, and panel discussions.
The event is expected to attract progressive artists, cultural groups, researchers, students, media personnel, and the general public from across the country.

The organizers believe the festival will also boost tourism and contribute to social transformation through progressive music.
