Apr 25, Kathmandu - Demolition work has been ongoing in the squatter settlements on the banks of the Bagmati River in Thapathali, Kathmandu since Saturday morning.

As per a government notification, dozers have been deployed in the Thapathali area as part of a campaign to evacuate various squatter settlements in Kathmandu. Three dozers were demolishing the structures since morning, and two more dozers were deployed in the afternoon.

Along with Thapathali, the process of evacuating settlements has also been taken forward in the Sinamangal and Manohara areas.
