Anthropic Expands Connective Services in Claude AI Chatbot, Integrates with Lifestyle Apps like Spotify and Instagram

Apr 25, Kathmandu - Anthropic has announced a major update to its AI chatbot, Claude, by expanding its "Connected Services" directory to include integration with popular lifestyle apps such as Spotify, Instagram, and others.

According to the company, this new development allows Claude’s AI to connect with users' various online accounts, enabling it to perform more detailed and complex tasks. The integration aims to make AI services more useful by accelerating third-party app connectivity, enhancing user experience across platforms.

As competition among AI companies intensifies to make their platforms more versatile, this update positions Claude to better assist users in daily activities. With multiple apps connected simultaneously, the chatbot can help with everything from planning trips and creating music playlists to online shopping and service-related tasks.

For example, Claude can now help users plan a hiking trip through platforms like AllTrails and generate a playlist for the journey on Spotify, all within a seamless chat interface.

Furthermore, Anthropic has revamped how apps are presented within the chatbot. Users will no longer need to search for different apps separately; instead, relevant services will be dynamically suggested within the chat conversation.

The company has emphasized that before making reservations, purchases, or other transactions, explicit user consent will be required, ensuring user control and security.

With this expansion, Claude AI is moving beyond just business and educational use, aiming to become an integral part of everyday personal life, marking a significant step forward in AI integration into daily routines.
