Apr 28, Kathmandu - In a continued breach of the ceasefire that began on April 16, Israeli forces have carried out attacks in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, escalating tensions in the region.
According to Lebanon’s National News Agency, Israeli fighter jets conducted three airstrikes in the Jawahar Al-Sharqiyah area of Nabatieh District. Meanwhile, heavy fighting erupted in the city of Haris in Bint Jbeil District after an Israeli airstrike, leading to reports of numerous people missing.
Israeli aircraft also targeted Jabal Al-Batoum in Tire District and launched heavy machine gun fire in Bint Jbeil, further intensifying the ongoing conflict.
Lebanon’s Ministry of Health reported that four people have been killed and 51 others injured in Israeli airstrikes across southern Lebanon. Despite a 10-day ceasefire agreement that was supposed to be in effect since April 16, Israeli forces continue to violate the terms by launching these attacks.
