Apr 30, Kathmandu - A tragic jeep accident occurred in Jajala, Thabang Rural Municipality-1, Rolpa District, as individuals returning from a local fair were involved in a collision. According to police reports, the jeep plunged approximately 800 meters down from the road, causing serious injuries to 15 people.
The injured have been rescued, with police confirming that one individual sustained minor injuries. Heavy rainfall at the accident site has hampered rescue efforts, making the operation challenging.
Rolpa's Deputy Superintendent of Police, Biren Bir Bikram Shrestha, stated that the accident happened as people were heading back from the Jajala fair scheduled for the next day. Rescue operations are ongoing amidst difficult weather conditions.
