President Ram Chandra Poudel Consults Legal Experts on Proposed Ordinances

Apr 30, Kathmandu - President Ram Chandra Poudel has held discussions with legal experts regarding the ordinances recommended by the government. 

According to Presidential Spokesperson Ritesh Kumar Shakya, the ongoing consultations are being conducted at the President’s Office, Shital Niwas.

"Discussions are currently underway," Shakya stated. President Poudel summoned constitutional experts including Shambhu Thapa, Tikaram Bhatta, Purnaman Shakya, Bhimarjun Acharya, Bipin Adhikari, and Sher Bahadur KC for advice.

Before these consultations, President Poudel issued an ordinance related to cooperatives, based on the government’s recommendation.

The President is also planning to seek advice from constitutional experts on other proposed ordinances submitted by the government. These include ordinances concerning the Constitutional Council, certain Nepal Acts, the Institute of Health Sciences, universities, and the dismissal of public officials.
