May 02, Kathmandu - Youth groups have vehemently opposed the government's campaign of using bulldozers to evict residents from various slum settlements in Kathmandu. GJM Nepal issued a statement demanding legal action against Prime Minister Balendra Shah for inciting suicide.
The movement highlighted that two individuals have committed suicide due to the bulldozer operations in areas such as Thapathali, Manohara, Sinamangal, and Balkhu, describing these incidents as a result of state terror. They also called for the provision of safe and dignified alternative housing for the affected families.

Furthermore, GJM Front condemned the government's actions as inhumane and unconstitutional. The statement warned that if such activities continue, citizens may rise up in a popular uprising to overthrow the government.
