May 04, Kathmandu - The water dispersal system currently active in Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, accompanied by thunderstorms and heavy rainfall, has now extended into Bagmati and Madhesh provinces, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
The department has also issued a notice via Facebook indicating that this weather system is expected to reach eastern Madhesh and Koshi provinces shortly. The Kathmandu Valley is experiencing light rain along with thunderstorms.
The department has urged the public to remain alert and cautious during these weather conditions, especially as heavy rainfall and thunderstorms continue.
In the past hour, the water dispersal system has been active in Kusma with thunderstorms and lightning, contributing to rainfall. A total of 2.6 millimeters of rain has been recorded overall, with Chisapani Gadhi in Makwanpur receiving the highest rainfall of 20.6 millimeters.
