May 04, Kathmandu - In a generous gesture to support education, social worker and philanthropist Dr. Manor Din Shaiyed has donated two computer sets to Dhurba Deurali Basic School located in Birkot Municipality-2.
The donation aims to enhance teaching and learning experiences at the school, which serves 35 students in Balamdanda. Dr. Shaiyed, who has previously distributed school uniforms and educational supplies to students and institutions in Birkot Municipality, emphasized his commitment to community development.
During the handover ceremony, he presented the computer sets to the school’s headteacher, Padampani Aryal, and the Chairperson of the School Management Committee, Mohammed Hanif Mia. Expressing his happiness in supporting the school, Dr. Shaiyed pledged to continue his assistance in the future.
Principal Aryal expressed gratitude for the donation, highlighting the importance of computer education and affirming the school's plan to introduce digital learning using the new equipment.
Located in Birkot Municipality-1, the school is currently home to 35 students. Dr. Shaiyed, a resident of Birkot and working at the Many Memon Memorial Hospital in Kathmandu, reiterated his dedication to fostering educational opportunities in his hometown.
