May 05, Kathmandu - The Government of Nepal has officially renamed the Land Registry Office as the Land Administration Office. This change was enacted by amending the Malpot Act and the Land (Survey and Measurement) Act, removing the term "Malpot Office" and replacing it with "Land Administration Office" in both laws. Additionally, the government has amended the laws to refer to the Malpot Officer as the "Land Administration Officer." The move is part of broader efforts to modernize land management and administrative processes in the country.
