May 05, Kathmandu - A tri-country drama festival is to be organized in Kathmandu.
The festival, organized by the Nepal Music and Drama Academy, will be conducted in collaboration with the Government of Nepal, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, BP Koirala Foundation and the Embassy of India.
The festival, to be organized from 25th to 27th of this month at the Kantipur Theater in Gairidhara, Kathmandu, will feature the participation of playwrights and artists from Nepal, India and Sri Lanka. The program has been scheduled to stage plays from all three countries at 5:30 pm every day.
Under the festival, Kala Ghar's 'Achheta' from Nepal, The Creative Art Academy's 'Home in Suitcase' from Sri Lanka and Rang Sanskar's 'Shakuni' from India will be staged.
According to the organizers, the festival aims to strengthen cultural exchange between the three countries and highlight contemporary themes through Rangkarma. In addition, all Nepali playwrights and audiences have been invited to participate in the festival.
