May 12, Kathmandu - The Finance Committee under the House of Representatives has formed 5 subcommittees. The committee has formed 5 different sectoral subcommittees for economic governance, budget implementation and necessary coordination between the private sector and the government.
The committee meeting held on Tuesday has assigned responsibilities to the members in the sectoral subcommittees along with division of work. The meeting has formed the Public Finance Subcommittee, Financial Sector and Economic Development Subcommittee, Private Sector and Investment Promotion and Financial and Federalism Study Subcommittee.
The Public Finance Subcommittee comprises Krishna Kumar Karki, Khadak Bahadur Budha, Nitima Bhandari (Karki), Parashuram Tamang, Pushparaj Kandel, Bidhushi Rana and Sushil Khadka.
Similarly, the Financial Sector and Economic Development Subcommittee comprises Jagadish Kharel, Dr. Tara Prasad Joshi, Dhruvraj Rai, Parash Mani Gelal, Sushila Dhakal (Acharya) and Sagar Bhusal. The Private Sector Development and Investment Promotion Subcommittee includes Khadga Shahi, Bharat Prasad Parajuli, Ram Bahadur Thapa Magar, Lima Adhikari (Acharya), Bikram Khanal and Sarita Mahato.
Similarly, the Fiscal Federalism Study Subcommittee includes Devraj Pathak, Narendra Kumar Kerung, Pushpa Kumari Chaudhary, Bharat Giri, Rajesh Kumar Chaudhary, Sushant Vaidik. The Committee Coordination and Consultation Subcommittee has an 11-member committee with Chairman Dr. Krishnahari Budhathoki himself as the coordinator.
The members include Khadak Bahadur Budha, Dhruvraj Rai, Nitima Bhandari (Karki), Rashuram Tamang, Parash Mani Gelal, Pushparaj Kandel, Bharat Giri, Lima Adhikari (Acharya), Sushil Khadka and Sushant Vaidik. The Finance Committee has also prepared a TOR including the scope of work of the subcommittee and the tasks to be done and assigned responsibilities to the concerned subcommittee. The term of office of the subcommittee is set at 6 months.
