Nepal, USA, and Scotland Clash in ICC League 2: Scotland Secures Consecutive Two-Run Victories

May 14, Kathmandu - In a thrilling ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series match held at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Scotland edged out the United States by just two runs, marking their second consecutive victory by the same margin. Nepal had previously suffered a similar narrow loss to Scotland.

Scotland, batting first, posted a formidable total of 321 runs for 6 wickets in 47 overs, despite interruptions caused by rain. Three players contributed half-centuries, with Finlay McRae scoring 77, Matthew Cross adding 58, and Brandon McMullen contributing 55.

Chasing the target, the USA faced repeated rain delays and managed to score 246 runs for 8 wickets in 32 overs, falling just two runs short. Saitaja Mukammal played a remarkable innings of 104 runs off 75 balls, while Smit Patel scored 72 off 56 balls, but their efforts couldn't secure victory for the Americans.
