May 17, Kathmandu - Nepal’s renowned actor Salin Man Bania is set to star alongside Japanese debutant Mina Yashoda in the upcoming film “University of Gundas.” The production team has officially signed Yashoda as one of the film’s lead actresses.

Yashoda, who has a mixed Nepali-Japanese family background (father Nepali, mother Japanese), is making her acting debut with this project. She currently resides in Japan.

Details about Yashoda’s role will be announced later by the production team. The film, which centers around Bania’s character, is directed by Suresh Neupane. Besides Salin Man and Yashoda, Salon Basnet will also feature in a key role.

The film’s production team includes Saurabh Lama (DOP), Mandip Gautam (Screenplay), Roman Bajracharya (Background Score), Samrat Basnet (Action Director), Manoj Shrestha (VFX), Bande Prasad (Editing & Trailer), Mukesh Shah (Sound Design), and Rajendra Moktan (Color).

The project is currently in pre-production, with producer Subash Kafle confirming that filming will commence soon. The film promises an exciting blend of Nepali and Japanese talent, aiming for a fresh cinematic experience.
