May 17, Kathmandu - The allegations against proposed Chief Justice Dr. Manoj Sharma are scheduled to be publicly disclosed next Tuesday.
According to the Secretariat of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee, seven complaints have been received as of Saturday evening. The Parliament Secretariat spokesperson, Ekram Giri, stated that complaints can be submitted until the office hours on Monday.
The Parliamentary Hearing Committee had previously decided during its meeting on Baisakh 26 to invite and review complaints against Sharma, giving a 10-day window for submissions.
Committee Chair Bodhnarayan Shrestha mentioned that a meeting would be held on Tuesday to open and review the complaints, after which they will be distributed to all members for further study.
The Committee Secretariat confirmed that complaints can be submitted through various means, including postal mail, email, or by visiting the Secretariat directly. Complaints can also be lodged in person by meeting with committee members inside the hearing room, and from all 77 district administrative offices.
It has been emphasized that complainants should clearly specify the grounds and reasons for their allegations.
Following the parliamentary hearing and approval of the complaints, which have been recommended by the Constitutional Council, the President will proceed with the appointment of the proposed Chief Justice.
