Nepal Airlines Passenger Detained for Attempting to Travel to Delhi with 37 Passports

May 19, Kathmandu - A passenger traveling from Kathmandu to Delhi via Nepal Airlines was detained after being found in possession of 37 passports. The individual has been identified as 38-year-old Ajit Shrestha from Dhangadhi Municipality-13, Surkhet. He allegedly attempted to travel without official approval or documentation, intending to apply for a Romanian visa using multiple Nepali passports.

The security personnel at Tribhuvan International Airport apprehended Shrestha and handed him over to the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office for further investigation, according to information officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Silwal of the Tribhuvan International Airport Security Office.
