Nepal Industry Federation Youth Organizes Panel on Economic and Industrial Outlook in Kathmandu

May 21, Kathmandu - The youth wing of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), CNI Youth Entrepreneurs Forum, held an interactive session in Kathmandu titled “Analysis of Nepal’s Economic and Industrial Situation.”

The program aimed to analyze the structural challenges and development prospects of the Nepali economy by bringing together young business leaders, policy experts, and industrialists. The federation highlighted that senior economists who have played a crucial role in shaping Nepal’s financial and legal frameworks participated in the discussion.

Prominent panelists included former ministers Anil Kumar Sinha, responsible for industries, commerce, and supply, and Rameshwar Prasad Khandel, a former finance minister.

The event was facilitated by Nida Doon Malla, Vice President of CNI-VIEF, with CNI President Bindendra Raj Pandey and other participants also taking part.

Manish Shrestha, President of CNI-VIEF, emphasized the importance of accurately analyzing the current economic situation. “To chart a path forward, we must first understand our present state correctly. The forum is always committed to bridging the gap between experienced policymakers and young entrepreneurs,” he stated.

During the discussion, in-depth deliberations were held on complex federal financial administration, legal barriers to industrial development, and ongoing changes in Nepal’s trade sector.

In the Q&A session, representatives from various fields such as production, technology, and services posed questions to the panelists regarding liquidity, policy stability, and investment climate. The program concluded with a formal closing speech by outgoing President Ashish Agrawal.
