Gandaki Province Unveils Budget Priorities Focused on Growth, Employment, and Development

May 26, Kathmandu - Gandaki Province has presented its budget principles and priorities for the upcoming fiscal year 2083-84 through the Budget and Program Act.

Finance Minister Jit Bahadur Sherchan introduced the bill's core principles and priorities during today’s provincial assembly meeting.

The budget emphasizes innovative initiatives to boost production and productivity, create jobs, and alleviate poverty. It includes new projects and programs geared towards technology-friendly and startup ventures.

The bill aims to support the commercialization, mechanization, and marketing of agriculture through targeted programs for marginalized, declining, and underdeveloped communities and regions.

Furthermore, the government plans to advance the concepts of ‘One Municipality: One Destination’ and ‘Model Village’ in coordination with local governments, alongside completing the ‘Bright Gandaki Province’ campaign.

The principles and priorities of the budget bill will be discussed in the provincial assembly during its session on Wednesday, according to the Provincial Assembly Secretariat.
