Nepal Aims to Generate 1,040 Megawatts of Electricity in Fiscal Year 2083/84

May 29, Kathmandu - The government has set a target to produce 1,040 megawatts of electricity in the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84. Finance Minister Swarnim Waglé announced this ambitious goal while presenting the budget for the fiscal year on Friday, Jestha 15.

The plan includes the development of 670 megawatts of hydropower projects and 370 megawatts from solar energy initiatives, reflecting a strong commitment to renewable energy sources and sustainable development.
